The hat is made with closed cell foam in the brim and a dark colored cotton or cotton batik on the underside and outer edge of the brim. This gives the extra wide brim structure and stability. It has a drawstring around the head to adjust the size to fit from 21 1/2" up to 24 1/2" head circumference and also a neck strap to make sure it stays with you at all times. These extra wide brim sun hats come with CoolMax mesh vents on the side for ventilation and an inner band of wicking material. This helps to keep a cool and dry head.
